The 17th annual Lil’ Spurs Rodeo will be held on Monday, Sept. 1st, 2008 at the Tri-State Rodeo grounds in Fort Madison, IA.
The annual event includes events for children up to age 14. Events include: Mutton
Bustin’, Calf Riding, Stick Horse Barrel Racing, Goat Tail Tie, Greased Pig, and Calf Scramble.

The Grand Rodeo Parade is scheduled for Saturday morning, starting at 9:30 a.m. on Avenue G.

Main Stage Entertainment
The 61st annual Tri-State Rodeo will have a mix of contemporary country and southern-rock-as-country at its competition this September when well-known artists take the stage.
Cross Canadian Ragweed will preform Thursday night after the Rodeo. Music star Jason Aldean will perform Friday, Sept. 5, and legendary rock band .38 Special will bring down the house Saturday, Sept. 6.

Priefert’s Percheron Draft Horse Hitch
Brace yourself as Priefert’s Percheron Draft Horse Hitch storms into the arena. Featuring some of the largest draft horses in the world, this massive team delivers an experience you’ll not soon forget. Grab your camera and kids and don’t miss your chance to see these magnificent horses as they make their way to the Tri-State Rodeo.
Percheron Draft Horse Hitch will be performing each night of the Rodeo. They will also be set up on the North side of the arena for viewing before and during the Rodeo. Make sure you catch them as they thunder down the street during the parade.

Rodeo Bonus Features
Dale "Gizmo" McCracken will be working the crowds at rodeo performances each night. The Professional Rodeo Comedy Act award winner is known for using gadgets and gizmos that "go sour."
McCracken has been working rodeos for 27 years, and said no one can predict what he'll do next inside the arena. Crowds can expect to see one of his "alter egos" — Ozzy Osborn, Jerry Lewis, Sir–Rink–In Machine or Elvis.
