The 62nd
Tri-State Rodeo will be held September 9th,
10th, 11th and 12th.
This annual event will once again feature exciting rodeo acts as well as
professional musical entertainment. The
Tri-State Rodeo is a member of the
Professional Rodeo Cowboys’ Association (PRCA),
this premiere Rodeo
Tour features the best cowboy and cowgirls
competing for the ultimate prize in rodeo.
Four rodeo performances will be held. Wednesday and Thursday evening’s rodeo
performances will begin at 7:00 p.m. with great competition sure to entertain
audiences of all ages.
Friday evening’s rodeo performance will
begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be followed by the musical talent of Blake
Shelton. This Oklahoma native has reached a new level of success with his
2008 chart topper “Home”. Known for the way he wraps a rich baritone around both
emotion-laden ballads like “Austin” and light-hearted party songs like “Some
Beach”, he tackles songs about country life and attitudes with enthusiasm. .. More Info ..
Saturday night’s entertainment gets underway at
7:30 p.m. with the Rodeo performers taking center stage. They will be followed
by the 1980’s Rock band LOVERBOY. This high energy band is driven by the
powerful vocals of Mike Reno, the relentless rock groove of lead guitarist Paul
Dean, bassist Scott Smith, keyboardist Doug Johnson and drummer Matt Frenette.
LOVERBOY’s red leather pants, bandannas, and big rock sound defined the band’s
trademark image and high-energy live show.
LOVERBOY burned up the charts
during the ‘80’s with such hits as “Jump”, “Working for the Weekend” and “Heaven

New to this year’s entertainment
lineup at the Rodeo is specialty act
Troy Lerwill "The Wild Child”. This Comedian was named PRCA’s
Comedy Act of the Year in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007. He is known for his
daring motorcycle act “The Wild Child”. He will be sure to entertain and
delight.

Pre-rodeo events will take place
throughout the week leading up to the rodeo for participants of all ages. The
Grand Rodeo Parade is scheduled for Saturday, September 5th commencing at 9:30 a.m. and will travel down
Avenue G. The Tri-State Rodeo is a community event that involves many hours of
manpower by community members and groups with all proceeds being put back into
the community.
